Saudi King Dies in the Age of 90

Saudi Arabian TV has announced the death news of Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz on early Friday. He was suffering from pneumonia and was admitted in hospital from one month.

In the official statement of royal family the king took his last breathe on early morning 1.00am when he was admitted in hospital for treatment. His brother king Salman will be next king and will come into power at the time when World’s top oil exporter is facing chaos border situation.

The departure king is considered as a modernizing force and had his influence in reforms making since the kingship of his brother.   He was a de facto leader of Saudi Arabia since 1995 and became successor of his brother Shah Fahad in 2005. He believed on women empowerment and has craved many opportunities for women. His also had a remarkable role in representing Saudi presence in Middle East against Shetiie Iran’s authority.

In his reign he made many reforms especially the made seats for women in shura council and first time in the history of Saudi Arabia Saudi athletes participated in Olympic Games in 2012. His concern with technology was acknowledgeable and his rule King Abdullah University of Science and Technology were built to explore new technology research. To improve communication and women confidence he introduced combined classes of both male and female students which were prohibited in Saudi Arabia.

Many foreigner ambassadors and Presidents have appreciated and admired his struggle and reforms. “As a leader, he was always honest and had the audacity of his conviction,” said US president Barak Husain Obama. While people of Saudi Arabia are sad on his death because they say he always tried to be the conciliator.
