High Blood Pressure is a Silent Killer

High blood pressure is also known as hypertension is extremely dangerous and behaves like a silent killer.

It’s more dangerous to know that you’re unaware that you’ve high blood pressure. Indeed, one third of the people who have high blood pressure are unaware of it. Hyper tension causes severe damage to our health and affects the small blood vessels of the heart. You need to take certain measures if your blood pressure is above 140/90 mmHg.

The initial symptoms of high blood pressure are dull headache, nose bleeding and dizzy spill. Having these symptoms mean you urgent need regular checkups. Old age people, females and people used to work in a stressed environment are more likely to become victims of high blood pressure. However, some people get this disease from their parents because high blood pressure also depends on your family history.

Stress, being overweight, sleep apnea, stress and drinking alcohol are the basic reasons of high blood pressure. High blood pressure puts strain on the veins and causes the arteries to stretch and weaken. It also increases the chances of heart attack, strokes and kidney damage.  

Consult to your doctor and avoid salt and sodium in your diet and assure regular exercise. Eliminate smoking and alcohol from your life and try to lose weight. Never neglect the prescriptions from the doctor and monitor your heart beat and go for regular checkups.
