It is being seen that Geo.tv Geo TV network's official website is down and there are news on TV that GEO tv's license has been cancelled.

It is confirmed now that GEO Tv network is vanished totally. Pemra has cancelled their licenses for GEO Tez, GEO entertainment and GEO news as well. Also Geo's official website isn't working all over the World. Currently GEO TV is running correctly, but soon orders of blockage will be sent to cable operators to stop GEO TV's transmissions.
This action has been taken by pemra because of some activities done by GEO, that were against Pamera's laws and also because of blasphemy in Utho jago Pakistan program. This blasphemy was done in a morning show, where Veena malik's wedding ceremony was going on.
People from general public have been protesting against Geo network since last week because of this religious blasphemy on a TV show. Although, DR. shaista wahidi apologized in a 30 seconds video, but this kind of act was done by GEO TV in the past several time.

That's why people do not ignored this act and demanded Pemra to ban GEO TV. Because of public pressure and protests, Pemra did this today.
