Karachi-Lahore Motorway Acquires Green Signal from National Economic Council

The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council on Thursday permitted the significant Rs 310 billion Karachi to Lahore Motorway project along with 11 other major development projects. The total estimated cost of these ventures will cost over Rs 440 billion.

Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar have asked the relevant department to compile a mechanism to complete this momentous project on time, as delay will cost more. Furthermore, asked the Planning Commission to properly observe the advancement in this regard and also evaluation of PC-4s preached for better output.
MOTORWAY

Moreover six-lane 387 km Sukkur-Multan section will also be completed with the cost of Rs 259.353 bn, the total length of Karachi Lahore Motorway (KLM) would be 1148 km. The National Highway Authority will complete the project around October 2017, 10% project cost will be tolerated by Public Sector Development Programme and remaining by the Chinese government.
