In Karachi today, Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif presided a high level meeting to review the law and order situation of Karachi and to also see the progress of current target operation in Karachi. In the meeting, members of high-class civilian and political leadership, Raheel Sharif Army Chief and Asif Ali Zardari former president were present.
In the meeting, a briefing on the current ongoing-targeted operation in Karachi was given by DG Rangers. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif gave orders to increase the intelligence sharing to fight terrorists in Karachi. Prime Minister also raised the agenda that why the illegal SIMS are not being jammed. Prime Minister also asked that why red warrants of the criminals who have escaped from the country not issued.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif stated that the federal and provincial governments are solemn in their efforts to maintain peace in Karachi. He also asked the political parties to join the government on the same page for this matter. He said all the political parties are in favor to maintain peace in Karachi at any cost.
